Everton manager David Moyes has insisted that the club are fully behind their Merseyside rivals following the revelations from the Hillsborough independent panel.
Documents emerged earlier this week proving that South Yorkshire police had attempted to place blame on Liverpool supporters by altering up to 164 statements following the death of 96 Reds fans during an FA Cup semi-final at Hillsborough stadium in 1989.
"We stand shoulder to shoulder with the families of the bereaved," said Moyes.
Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has called on United and Liverpool fans to end offensive chants during matches.
