AZ score late to draw with FC Twente

AZ and FC Twente play out a 2-2 draw in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at the AFAS Stadion.

AZ scored a late goal at home to FC Twente as both sides played out a battling 2-2 draw at the AFAS Stadion this afternoon.

The visitors had the brighter start to the game, as efforts from Kyle Ebecilio and Kamohelo Mokotjo threatened the Alkmaar goal in the early stages.

However, the hosts took the lead in the 28th minute through Robert Muhren's first goal in a Cheese Farmers jersey.

Nevertheless, Twente pressed on and equalised in the 55th minute through Ebecilio's header.

The Tukkers then edged themselves into the lead just four minutes later, as Hakim Ziyech rounded the opposition goalkeeper and fired home.

With just four minutes left to play, however, AZ struck a dramatic equaliser when Muamer Tankovic headed a cross past Nick Marsman to secure a point for his side.
