Fulham boss Martin Jol admits that his side aren't clear of the relegation zone yet.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has admitted that his side still aren't safe from relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Cottagers are 10th in the Premier League and are nine points clear of the relegation zone with 10 games left to play this season.

Jol told reporters: "We are in a good position but you have to look over your shoulder. Four or five clubs are still with us there who could be dragged into a situation you won't like.

"We always say we would like to get 40 points as soon as possible and then, you never know. Last year we had 52 points and the year before we were in the top eight with 49, so hopefully we will get 40 and then a bit more."

Fulham face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
