The Football Association has charged Fulham defender Sascha Riether with violent conduct for an alleged stamp on Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj.
The incident took place in the final minutes of Saturday's Premier League encounter at Craven Cottage, which United won 3-1.
Riether is the first player to be charged retrospectively by the FA after the introduction of a new pilot scheme by English football's governing body.
An official FA statement read: "Fulham's Sascha Riether has been charged by The FA for violent conduct following an incident which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video during his side's game against Manchester United on November 2, 2013."
Riether has until 6pm on November 5 to respond to the charge.
