Ashkan Dejagah: 'Felix Magath is the right man for Fulham'

Ashkan Dejagah believes that Felix Magath is the perfect man to guide Fulham to safety, after being in a similar situation with the manager at Wolfsburg.

Fulham winger Ashkan Dejagah has insisted that Felix Magath is the right man to lead Fulham to Premier League safety.

Magath is Fulham's third manager this season, and the club remain in the relegation zone with four games to play.

Dejagah, who found himself in a similar situation with the current manager at Wolfsburg three years ago, believes that Magath is perfect for this situation.

"Fulham has to stay in the Premier League and Felix Magath is the right manager to achieve that," Dejagah told The Guardian.

"Back home in Germany he is a big name, a manager who has won championships with Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. He has the ability to relax people, to get them focused. He recognises the balance that is needed and it is important to have someone who has been through this before.

"He speaks a lot to his players, reassures them, reminds us what our jobs are. The most difficult thing in this situation is the pressure but he releases it just by talking to us."

Fulham travel to Tottenham Hotspur in their next game, on Saturday afternoon.
