Galatasaray general secretary Fatih Isbecer has revealed that West Ham United have failed in a move for the Turkish club's striker Burak Yilmaz.
The Hammers have been strongly linked with a move for the 30-year-old over the last week, while Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City have also been credited with an interest in the 42-time Turkish international.
Galatasaray, however, have confirmed that a deal has fallen through because West Ham were only interested in a loan move, rather than a permanent deal.
"We were made a loan bid from West Ham but we are after a permanent transfer deal so the deal fell through," The Mirror quotes Isbecer as saying.
Yilmaz, who is said to be valued in the region of £5m, has scored 81 goals in 140 games for his current club.
