Germany striker Lukas Podolski has described Cristiano Ronaldo as "one of the best", but insists that he and his teammates can stop him at Euro 2012.
Podolski, who was responding to the former Manchester United man's confidence in Portugal emerging from Group B, reminded the Real Madrid forward of Die Mannschaft's recent success against his national side.
"What Ronaldo is planning is not important," he told Bild.
"He is one of the best in the world, but we have done well in recent games against Portugal.
"We'll disturb him, entangle him with tough tackling."
Germany begin the tournament against Portugal on Saturday.
