Granada have held Villarreal to a 0-0 draw at Los Carmenes in La Liga this evening.

Both sides had chances early on with Gerard Moreno going close for the visitors with a left-footed effort from inside the box.

Jeison Murillo sent a shot over the bar on 11 minutes for Granada, before Manu Trigueros saw a goal-bound effort blocked by a defender.

After the break, Granada goalkeeper Roberto was forced into a good save by Gabriel Paulista's header, and Luciano Vietto spurned a great chance with a headed attempt just after the hour mark.

Granada are sixth in the La Liga table after an unbeaten start to the season, while Villarreal are eighth with four points from three games.
