Huddersfield Town have slapped an £8m price tag on striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports had suggested that Fulham had opened the bidding for the 22-year-old, who has scored 40 goals this season.
However, manager Simon Grayson has now said that figure is drastically short of what they are looking for.
"We may have to consider acceptable offers, but £3.5m doesn't come close," said Grayson. "It might be the right figure for someone who has scored 10-15 goals, but not 40.
"It wouldn't be enough to buy Jordan's right boot, let alone all of him."
Rhodes made his international debut for Scotland in November.
