Half-Time Report: Deadlock remains at San Siro

Inter Milan fail to break the deadlock in the first half of their final match of the season against Empoli at San Siro.

Inter Milan have headed into half time level following a goalless first half at the San Siro against Empoli in their final match of the Serie A season.

Davide Bassi came under pressure in the Empoli goal inside the opening 10 minutes when Yuto Nagatomo tried to drill the ball in from 25 yards out after controlling a long ball forward.

Elseid Hysaj tried to create something down the other end for the visitors, whipping a cross in from the right, but there were none of his teammates waiting in the box.

Mauro Icardi had a chance to open the scoring for Inter when he tried to rebound the ball in from a cleared corner, but the keeper made a diving save to keep it out.

Bassi was tested again moments later when Rodrigo Palacio was played in by Hernanes, resulting in the striker attempting a low drive from the middle of the box, but the keeper was able to turn it behind.
