Giuseppe Marotta hints at big spending for Juventus

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta suggests that the club will spend plenty of money this summer in order to win next season's Champions League.

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has suggested that the club will spend big to win the Champions League next season following their defeat to Barcelona in the final.

The Italians saw their dreams of the treble dashed on Saturday night as they were beaten 3-1 in Berlin.

Juve paid around £28m for Palermo striker Paolo Dybala last week, but Marotta has revealed that more money is likely to be spent to make the Old Lady a bigger force in Europe.

"It's a great satisfaction to have come this far, but the defeat won't stop us," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We are ready to do whatever it takes to improve a team that's already important."

Juventus last won the Champions League in 1996.
