Massimiliano Allegri: 'Draw was a fair result'

Massimiliano Allegri says that Juventus played badly in the first half of their Serie A match against Udinese and concedes that a draw was a fair result.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has said that his side's goalless draw against Udinese this afternoon was a "fair result".

The Bianconeri were held for only the fifth time in the league all season, but still managed to stretch their lead at the top of the Serie A table to seven points.

"We played badly in the first half and kept throwing the ball away, were too hasty trying to go forward and left ourselves open to the counter-attack," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

"We went closer to conceding a goal than scoring in the first half. After the break we were more solid and more careful with the ball, so only ran a couple of risks.

"Udinese played with a lot of intensity and we made too many mistakes. In the end the result is fair, as it's one of those games we risked losing."

Juventus are back in league action next Saturday with a home match against AC Milan.
