New England Revolution, Los Angeles Galaxy finish all square

Diego Fagundez earns New England Revolution a 2-2 draw against Los Angeles Galaxy with a curled free kick.

Los Angeles Galaxy have earned a 2-2 draw away at New England Revolution in the MLS today.

The home side made a fast start and took the lead after just five minutes as Teal Bunbury smashed the ball home from close range.

However, Galaxy responded 10 minutes later as Ignacio Maganto fired past the keeper from the edge of the box to score his first ever MLS goal, before Gyasi Zardes tapped home from close range shortly afterwards to give his side the lead.

New England tied the scores again shortly before half time as Diego Fagundez curled a fine free kick into the top corner.

The hosts pushed hard to regain the lead after the break, and were denied by a smart save from Jaime Penedo.

The torrential conditions worsened as the second half progressed and further chances were limited as both teams settled for a draw.
