Lille hammer Lorient 5-0 at the Grand Stade Lille Metropole to move up to fifth place in the Ligue 1 table.

Lille have thrashed Lorient 5-0 at the Grand Stade Lille Metropole to move up to fifth place in the Ligue 1 table.

Salomon Kalou opened the scoring with three minutes on the clock before Dimitri Payet tapped in minutes later to make it 2-0.

A Lucas Digne penalty on 31 minutes added to Lille's tally following Bruno Ecuele Manga's foul on Payet.

Kalou then found the bottom corner soon after to give the hosts a 4-0 advantage at half time.

It took Lille seven minutes into the second half to score their fifth as Ronny Rodelin headed in Kalou's cross.
