Brendan Rodgers: 'Jordan Henderson to be assessed before Arsenal trip'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reveals that midfielder Jordan Henderson will continue to have a foot injury assessed ahead of the club's trip to Arsenal.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that no decision has been made on Jordan Henderson's fitness ahead of their game with Arsenal.

Henderson is struggling with a foot problem, but Rodgers has indicated that the club captain will be given as long as possible to try to recover in time for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.

The 42-year-old told reporters: "We are assessing Jordan day by day. He has obviously had the problem with his foot so we will see how it goes over the next 48 hours and take it from there."

The England international has missed just four Premier League games since the start of the 2013-14 campaign.
