Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has said that the club's players look up to captain Steven Gerrard.
The 33-year-old, who is also captain of England, has been the Anfield club's skipper since 2003.
Henderson has insisted that the midfielder is the perfect role model for everyone at Liverpool.
"Everybody looks up to him, whether it's young lads, young girls, people from the Academy, up to the first team, there's a lot of people who look up to him," Henderson told Liverpool's official website.
"To be training with him and to play with him every day is a real honour and I've learned a lot in the time that I've been here. Hopefully I can learn a lot more.
"He's a leader on the pitch, but I also see him off the pitch being a leader and I think that's what you need to pick up on. You always learn from people like that. I tend to take as much from him as I can and take it into my own game."
Gerrard has made 639 appearances for the Merseyside outfit.
