Gary Neville believes that Liverpool are destined to win the Premier League title this season.

Gary Neville has admitted that Liverpool are the clear favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side finished last season on 97 points, a club record, but it was not enough to beat Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

However, following a 2-1 win over Leicester City and City's 2-0 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool now have an eight-point lead over the champions.

Speaking on Sky Sports News about Liverpool's title chances, Neville said: "I don't think they can lose it from here. Liverpool are definitely big favourites, but if Van Dijk gets injured, or Salah gets injured it can change. There's thirty games to go."

Liverpool notably had the chance to extend their lead over City to 10 points when they travelled to the Etihad in January last season, only to lose 2-1 and ultimately miss out on the title.

The Reds travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United after the international break, and will welcome City to Anfield on November 10.
