Liverpool defender Daniel Agger: "I'm not going anywhere"

Daniel Agger rejects reports that he is planning to leave Liverpool by insisting that he is "not going anywhere".

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has rubbished reports that he has decided to call time on his Anfield career.

The Denmark international was quoted as saying that he could leave Merseyside in January if he fails to win back his place in the first team.

The vice-captain began the season as manager Brendan Rodgers's first-choice centre-back, but following a rib injury, the 28-year-old has failed to break up a back three of Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel and Kolo Toure.

Following rumours that he is poised to leave the Reds, Agger took to Twitter to insist that he is "not going anywhere".

Reports have claimed that Premier League rivals Arsenal are monitoring the Dane's situation at Anfield.
