Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir has allegedly agreed to join Liverpool during the next transfer window.
Despite being well stocked in the area, Liverpool have been frequently linked with a move for the stopper, who has helped his current club challenge for the Turkish league title.
While Tottenham Hotspur were recently credited with an interest, Cakir's former coach Sadi Tekelioglu says that the 24-year-old will soon make the switch to Anfield.
Speaking to Ajannspor, Tekelioglu said: "€50m (£43.75m) may be too much for us (Turkish clubs), but not for Europe. Ugurcan had a suitor last season. I gave Ugurcan an idea to go to the teams in England.
"Liverpool will transfer Ugurcan Çakır at the end of the season. Trabzonspor will not say no to Liverpool's offer. I met with Ugurcan. He told me that Liverpool took care of him."
With Adrian being linked with a return to Spain, Cakir could potentially provide competition for Alisson Becker.
