Teo Gutierrez made available by club's vice-president

Liverpool target Teo Gutierrez is made available by his club's president.

Liverpool target Teo Gutierrez has reportedly been made available by his club's vice-president.

Kenny Dalglish is looking for a replacement for striker Luis Suarez, as the Uruguayan faces an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Gutierrez, who plies his trade for Argentinean club Racing Club, is thought to be Liverpool's preference. The 26-year-old Colombian's valuation is expected to be around the £8m mark.

"There is no formal proposals for Teo Gutierrez, just words but no realities, Racing Club vice-president Rodolfo Molina told Argentinean paper Ole.

"When we receive an actual proposal we will study the numbers hard.

"The club does not reject the sale, but we will only negotiate on his real value."

Liverpool have also been linked with Schalke 04 striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
