Liverpool are regularly sending scouts to watch highly-rated FC Groningen teenager Richairo Zivkovic, according to the Dutch club's executive director Hans Nijland.
Zivkovic has quickly caught the eye in Holland after making his debut for Groningen last season aged just 16, breaking Arjen Robben's record to become the club's youngest goalscorer earlier this year.
Nijland admitted that the striker has drawn early attention from a whole host of clubs across Europe, with the Reds first to show a concerted interest in the youngster.
He said: "All the top clubs in Holland want him but Liverpool are here every week too.
"They are watching him closely and very keen."
The 16-year-old is currently the subject of a fight between the Dutch and Serbian football federations, who both want Zivkovic to play for them at youth level with a view to committing his international future.
