Liverpool are reportedly unlikely to consider re-signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Paris Saint-Germain amid the Dutchman's struggles in the French capital.

Liverpool are reportedly not giving any consideration to re-signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Netherlands international ran down his contract at Anfield before joining Mauricio Pochettino's side on a free transfer in the summer.

However, Wijnaldum has struggled to settle at the Parc des Princes, leading to talk of an early exit and possible reunion with Liverpool in 2022.

Such a move is reportedly unlikely to come to fruition, though, with The Athletic's James Pearce writing: "I'd be amazed if PSG loaned out Wijnaldum in January. Even if they did, I can't see Liverpool bringing him back.

"If he did leave Paris he would want to be a guaranteed starter somewhere and I don't see Klopp being able to offer him that assurance."

Wijnaldum has featured 22 times in all competitions for PSG in his debut season, but he has only started nine Ligue 1 games under Pochettino.
