Newcastle United are reportedly open to offering Liverpool striker Danny Ings a permanent deal at St James' Park.
The 25-year-old has been plagued by injury woes since moving to Anfield from Burnley in 2015.
Over the last two years, Ings has started just three Premier League games and has only made one appearance so far this season - a cameo in the Reds' 2-0 EFL Cup defeat to Leicester City.
According to The Express, Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez will approach his former club about a loan deal for the striker, but if the Reds decline, a permanent offer could be tabled.
The Magpies will reportedly push for a temporary option initially due to the uncertainty over Ings's ability to stay fit.
