Report: Alberto Moreno to join former club Sevilla on loan

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is reportedly on the verge of joining former club Sevilla on loan.

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is on the verge of rejoining former club Sevilla on loan, according to a report.

The La Liga outfit are keen to secure a season-long switch for the wantaway left-back, who has struggled to hold down first-team football at Anfield, The Sun reports.

Moreno made just 10 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side last term, with the German coach preferring veteran James Milner at left-back.

The 25-year-old is expected to drop further down the pecking order following the summer arrival of Andrew Robertson from Hull City.

Sevilla are in search of a new left-back following Benoit Tremoulinas's decision to leave on a free transfer in May.

The Spaniards are said to be seeking a clause that will enable them to secure a permanent move for Moreno when the loan deal expires.
