Roberto Mancini insists that Manchester City can recover from their recent setbacks.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that his side are capable of recovering after falling behind in both the Premier League and Europa League.

The Citizens, who have fallen one point behind rivals Manchester United in the Premier League title race, enter the second leg of their Europa League showdown with Sporting Lisbon a goal behind.

"We are here for the Europa League and we want to go to the next stage," Mancini told reporters.

"At the moment we have three or four injuries. This is our biggest problem. But football can change in one week.

"For this reason, we want to win. We are a top team, we have time to recover."

Mancini's side welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium next week.
