The 21-year-old was expected to return to Oldham Athletic, having scored the winner for the League One outfit in last weekend's 3-2 FA Cup victory over Liverpool.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Blackpool have moved to sign the highly-regarded defender on loan until the end of the season.
Wabara made 29 appearances for Oldham before returning to City on Monday.
