Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said that teammates Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are his inspiration.
Ferdinand, who arrived at Old Trafford from Leeds United in 2002, admits that watching the veteran duo work has motivated him to continue his Manchester United career for as long as he can.
"They are an inspiration to people like me," he told The Sun.
"You see someone like Scholesy and Giggsy and you think to yourself that, hopefully, you can get there in terms of both age and playing at the top.
"I think your body is the defining factor, telling you if you can or can't play any more. Fingers crossed, my body holds up."
