David Moyes hails good night's work

Manchester United boss David Moyes talks up a "good night" after his side beat Cardiff City 2-0.

Manchester United manager David Moyes hailed a good night's work following his side's 2-0 win against Cardiff City on Tuesday evening.

Robin van Persie marked his return from injury with a goal as Juan Mata made his debut following his club record move from Chelsea.

"I thought there were some good signs tonight - getting Robin back, getting Wayne Rooney back and Juan making his debut," Moyes is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"All in all it was a good night. I thought Juan played well. He made some terrific passes for us. He gave us a different look about us at times.

"Robin scored and we have missed his goals because out of nothing he gets you a goal."

United are currently seventh in the Premier League.
