Arsenal are reportedly keen to bring Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva to the Emirates Stadium during this summer's transfer window.
The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for his Bundesliga club, scoring 29 times and contributing 10 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.
According to journalist Duncan Castles, Arsenal have already made it clear to the Portugal international that they want to sign him ahead of next season.
However, the Gunners will allegedly have to move Alexandre Lacazette on in order to complete a deal for Silva, who has also previously been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United.
"Frankfurt are asking for £34.35m for the player. There is an expectation that that won't be achieved, and that they will be forced to sell him for less money," Castles told the Transfer Window Podcast.
"RB Leipzig certainly don't want to pay that. Arsenal have expressed their interest and have done a lot of propriety work on this deal.
"They have told Andre Silva that they need to sell before they can bring him in. But they want to do that deal. And the player they have targeted to sell is Alexandre Lacazette."
Silva, who is currently with the Portugal squad at Euro 2020, only has two years left to run on his current deal with Frankfurt.
