Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes could reportedly fly to England on Wednesday to undergo a medical with Manchester United ahead of a £47m move.
The Red Devils allegedly made a breakthrough in negotiations for the Portugal international on Tuesday evening, agreeing an initial fee of £47m with a number of add-ons.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fernandes could arrive in Manchester on Wednesday alongside his agent Miguel Pinho to undergo a medical at the club's AON Training Complex.
Romano also claims that Fernandes, who has still been selected by Sporting despite the constant speculation surrounding his future, is expected to sign a contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024.
The 25-year-old has again been in impressive form at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 15 times and contributing 14 assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Should the move be announced on Wednesday then the attacking midfielder would be free to make his debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
