Barcelona are reportedly contemplating the idea of pushing through a complex deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
While the Portugal international has been heavily linked with Manchester United, a failure to agree a fee has provided other clubs with an opportunity to enter the race.
According to Super Deporte, Barcelona have ambitions to edge out United for Fernandes, before loaning the playmaker to Valencia for the rest of the season.
The report suggests that such a proposal has been put together to increase Barca's chances of signing Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno before the end of the January transfer window.
Due to a long-term injury to Luis Suarez, newly-appointed boss Quique Setien desperately requires a replacement for the second half of the campaign.
Sporting allegedly want £68m for Fernandes, while Valencia have been tipped to demand at least £50m for Rodrigo.
