Versatile Manchester United defender Daley Blind reveals that he is going to weigh up his options before deciding whether to leave Old Trafford later this summer.

Daley Blind has admitted that he will "think about" quitting Manchester United during the summer transfer window due to a lack of first-team opportunities.

The Netherlands international started just four Premier League games all season and was left out of the squad entirely for last weekend's FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea.

Despite being used sparingly under Jose Mourinho, United triggered a one-year extension in Blind's contract to keep him tied down until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Amid reports that the Red Devils are looking to bring in a new left-back in the coming weeks, though, Blind has conceded that his future may lie away from Old Trafford.

"We're going to think about it in the holidays," he told De Telegraaf. "United is a nice big club. Of course there is a lot of competition there. I am still under contract for another year.

"I certainly will not make a panic transfer because it is not guaranteed that I will play at a new club.

"We have to wait, but it seems logical that I wasn't satisfied with the second half of the season. So first I'll go on vacation and then put all the possibilities next to each other."

Three of Blind's four starts came in the opening three games of the season, before losing his place to Ashley Young.
