Everton are in front of Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign teenage midfielder Pape Sarr from Metz, according to a report.

Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly face strong competition from fellow Premier League side Everton for Metz midfielder Pape Sarr.

The 18-year-old has scored three times in 21 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign and has attracted interest from some heavyweight clubs.

Everton have also been keeping tabs on Sarr and, according to the Daily Mail, they are ahead of Chelsea and United in the race to land the teenager.

However, given the growing interest in the Senegal international, the report suggests that Metz have upped their asking price to around £27m.

Sarr joined the Ligue 1 side from Generation Foot last September and is under contract until 2025.
