Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has reportedly indicated that he does not want to become the deputy to David de Gea at Manchester United.
Henderson is currently in his second successive campaign on loan at Sheffield United, where he has made a combined total of 69 starts.
However, given his progression into the England setup, there is the possibility of the 22-year-old being prevented from leaving Old Trafford in the summer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson has no desire to act as the understudy to De Gea, who has recently penned a lucrative new contract.
The report suggests that Henderson would prefer to spend another season earning regular first-team action, rather than being called upon to stand in for the Spaniard.
The current Blades player has two-and-a-half years left on his deal at United.
