Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to rival Juventus for the signature of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Speculation regarding Pogba's future at Old Trafford has been rife so far this season, with the World Cup winner understood to have fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.
The France international is thought to be keen on a return to Juventus, where he won the title in four successive seasons before rejoining United in 2016.
However, Tuttosport reports that Inter are now hoping to hijack the deal, with new CEO Beppe Marotta looking to make Pogba his first signing at the club.
Marotta was previously a director at Juventus and now wants to steal Pogba from under the noses of his former employers, using his existing relationship with the player and his agent Mino Raiola.
Pogba was taken off after 68 minutes of this afternoon's goalless draw with Crystal Palace - a result that leaves United closer to the relegation zone than they are to leaders Manchester City.
