Liverpool 'to beat Manchester United to signing of young keeper Kamil Grabara'

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on the signature of young Polish goalkeeper Kamil Garbara, who is said to have also been tracked by Manchester United.

Liverpool are reportedly close to edging out Manchester United to the signing of young Polish goalkeeper Kamil Garbara.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked with Barcelona shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but manager Jurgen Klopp has rejected suggestions that the club are in the market for a new senior keeper.

While Simon Mignolet's position in the first team seems secure for the time being, the club are believed to be close to adding 16-year-old Grabara to their academy.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the youngster is expected to travel to Merseyside this week to discuss a deal and possibly undergo a medical.

United and neighbours Manchester City are reported to have expressed an interest in the goalkeeper.
