Manchester United have reportedly told attacker Facundo Pellistri that he will not be leaving the club on deadline day.
The Uruguay international has only made sporadic appearances for the Red Devils since joining from Penarol in 2020, having to wait until earlier this month to make his senior debut.
After featuring regularly for Uruguay at the World Cup, Pellistri made his maiden appearance for Erik ten Hag's side in their 3-0 EFL Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic on January 10 before also playing against Nottingham Forest in the same tournament and Reading in the FA Cup.
Having failed to break into the Red Devils' Premier League squad, a January loan exit has been mooted for Pellistri, who was linked with the likes of Watford and Flamengo.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Pellistri has been informed that Man United have no plans to let him go before the January window slams shut on Tuesday.
Ten Hag is supposedly keen to retain the services of the 21-year-old for the second half of the season, and the same can be said for his fellow attacking starlet Anthony Elanga.
Man United are rumoured to have received as many as 10 offers for the Swede, but Ten Hag is counting on his services for the remainder of the campaign.
The Red Devils have been dealt a devastating injury blow in midfield, though, with Christian Eriksen facing approximately three months out with an ankle injury sustained in the weekend's FA Cup win over Reading.
