Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target of Manchester United.
The 22-year-old is known to be a valuable part of Jurgen Klopp's side, but his deal is due to expire in the summer of 2015 and as yet he has not agreed to extended terms.
United manager David Moyes has made no secret of his desire to improve his squad during the next couple of transfer windows and is keen to take advantage of Gundogan's contract situation at the Westfalenstadion, according to the Daily Star.
The report went on to claim that the Red Devils would need to part with around £30m to land the German international, who has been limited to just one outing this season because of a back injury.
