Adrien Rabiot is reportedly considering staying with Juventus despite being linked with a move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already agreed to a £15m fee with Juventus for the midfielder, which could rise to £20m with an add-ons.
However, agreeing personal terms has proven to be a stumbling block, with the Frenchman demanding an increase on his currently £5.93m salary to £8.46m per year.
According to The Sun, if United and the player's agent and mother Veronique Rabiot cannot come to an agreement then the 27-year-old may decide to remain at Juventus.
Rabiot has less than one year left to run on his current deal, and letting his contract run out could leave him in a stronger negotiating position with no transfer fee required.
With the player reportedly yet to respond in a clear way to United's personal term offers, the Red Devils could turn their attention to other midfield targets, including Frenkie de Jong who they have been pursuing throughout the summer.
