Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing both Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips and Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Phillips is widely expected to leave Leeds during this summer's transfer window even if the Whites are able to keep themselves in the Premier League.
Aston Villa, West Ham United, Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs to be linked with the England international, but according to the Daily Mail, there is also strong interest from Newcastle.
Following their recent takeover, the Magpies will spend heavily this summer, and the club are also allegedly planning to move for Rudiger.
The Germany international's contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of June, and he could leave on a free transfer due to the off-the-field uncertainty at the capital club.
Eddie Howe's side will also face a host of competition for Rudiger, though, with Man United, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all believed to be monitoring developments.
The 29-year-old has again been a vital player for the Blues during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring three times and registering four assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.
