Report: Manchester United deny making Nicolas Otamendi offer

Manchester United say that they haven't made an offer for Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi, according to reports.

Manchester United have denied that they made a bid for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, according to reports.

The La Liga side sparked gossip yesterday when they said that they have rejected a bid from an unnamed club for the highly-rated defender, before Spanish football expert Guillem Ballague said that it came from Louis van Gaal's side.

However, The Mirror says that sources at Old Trafford have revealed that the offer did not come from them and that they have no interest in the Argentine international.

Otamendi has won 18 caps so far for his country.
