Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is not on Louis van Gaal's list of targets this summer, reports suggest.
The Germany international is one of a host of players to be linked with a move to Manchester United since Van Gaal was announced as manager, with a fee of £25m being quoted by the German champions.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, the pair will not be reunited in English football despite their previously fruitful working relationship at Bayern Munich.
Van Gaal is interested in Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman according to the same report, though United will monitor the Roma man as he recovers from a knee ligament injury.
