Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool have reportedly expressed their interest in signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour under head coach Diego Simeone, and following the arrival of Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese, the La Liga champions are now willing to let the Spaniard leave this summer.
Barcelona are the current frontrunners for his signature, as they have entered negotiations with Atletico over a potential swap deal involving Saul and Antoine Griezmann.
However, according to AS, United and Liverpool are waiting in the wings and will make a move for the midfielder if talks with Barca fail to materialise, with the player's agent having already held discussions with both clubs.
Despite having five years remaining on his contract, Saul is valued by Atletico at just £34.3m, a figure that both English clubs are prepared to pay.
Since making his senior debut in March 2012, Saul has played 337 times for Atletico, scoring 43 goals and providing 19 assists.
