Tottenham Hotspur could be on the verge of lodging a bid for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino attended the Red Devils' 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup to watch the player in action, The Mirror reports.
The North London outfit are believed to have long-standing interest in Welbeck, who has reportedly been told that he can leave United this season.
Pochettino is said to be keen to boost his attacking options, with clubs from around Europe believed to have expressed interest in Spanish forward Roberto Soldado.
