Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered Lyon the chance to re-sign Tanguy Ndombele in a deal that would see Houssem Aouar move in the opposite direction.
Spurs are said to be one of four Premier League clubs interested in Aouar, who is expected to be sold during this summer's transfer window.
According to ESPN, the North London outfit are hopeful that the offer of Ndombele will allow them to win the race for the Frenchman ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
Ndombele joined Spurs in a club-record deal from Lyon in July 2019, but the 24-year-old has largely struggled to make his mark at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, scoring just eight times in 75 appearances.
The midfielder still has four years left to run on his current contract but could now allegedly be used as part of a swap deal for Aouar.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be battling for the Lyon midfielder's signature, while Paris Saint-Germain have previously been credited with an interest.
