Manchester United have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Norwich City youngster Ben Godfrey.
The 21-year-old was a key presence for the Canaries last season as he played 31 times in their Championship promotion-winning campaign.
United had been considered the frontrunners to sign Godfrey, but the Daily Mail claims that Spurs have also been scouting the youngster with an eye on making a move.
Godfrey is capable of playing at centre-back or in holding midfield and, according to the same report, it has been his performances in the latter position that have caught the eye of Tottenham chiefs.
The Lilywhites have already been linked with a number of players after going two windows without making a single signing, with Real Betis's Giovani Lo Celso believed to be their highest-profile target.
