Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer rumours, including Hannibal Mejbri to Sevilla, Jesse Lingard to West Ham United and Giovanni Reyna to Marseille.

Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri reportedly favours a switch to Sevilla over Everton amid ongoing speculation over a possible loan move.

The Tunisia international made a name for himself with Championship outfit Birmingham City last season but has been restricted to just 10 senior appearances for the Red Devils in 2023-24.

Since netting his first Premier League goal in a 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in September, Hannibal has only made another four appearances in the top flight and was also overlooked for a start against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.

Both Sevilla and Everton have been heavily linked with a loan approach for the 20-year-old this month, and according to the Manchester Evening News, his head is leaning towards moving to La Liga.

The report states that Man United are demanding a nominal loan fee to let Hannibal depart temporarily, and any transfer is not expected to include an option or obligation to make the move permanent.

Hannibal has made 13 appearances for Man United since joining from Monaco in 2019, and the Red Devils recently activated a one-year extension option in his contract to keep him on the books until 2025.

From a current Man United player to a former Red Devil, Jesse Lingard has apparently seen his hopes of a dream return to West Ham United extinguished.

The 31-year-old was an unexpected success story at the London Stadium in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign, registering nine goals and five assists in 16 outings for the club before returning to Old Trafford that same summer.

Despite persistent speculation surrounding a permanent move to David Moyes's side, a return to the English capital never materialised for Lingard, who is currently a free agent after his shot spell at Nottingham Forest came to an end.

The Hammers are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements owing to injuries to Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta, while Mohammed Kudus is away with Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, the Daily Mail claims that West Ham have no intention of bringing Lingard back to the club, as staff are concerned about his match fitness levels given his lengthy period of time without competitive football.

Instead, the Irons are prioritising deals for Sunderland's Jack Clarke and Ajax's Steven Bergwijn, thus forcing Lingard to scope out alternative pathways back to top-level football.

Over in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund's Giovanni Reyna has supposedly emerged as a winter target for both Sevilla and Marseille amid his perpetual struggles at the Westfalenstadion.

The 21-year-old was hailed as a player with enormous potential upon his arrival in Germany from the New York City FC academy in 2019, and he boasts a respectable 17 goals and 16 assists in 118 matches for BVB.

Reyna enjoyed his best Bundesliga scoring season in 2022-23 with seven top-flight strikes, but he has been bedevilled by fitness problems and has made just one league start in the 2023-24 campaign.

The USA international also has just 18 months left to run on his Dortmund contract, and according to Sky Deutschland, Edin Terzic views him as expendable given his perceived defensive weaknesses.

The report states that Sevilla and Marseille have registered their interest in taking Reyna off of Dortmund's hands, and the American is also disappointed that he has not been able to showcase his skills in his preferred number 10 position.

Reyna has won one DFB-Pokal crown with Dortmund and represented his nation at the 2022 World Cup, but he only made two substitute appearances in Qatar amid a well-documented family feud with head coach Gregg Berhalter.

Finally, Crystal Palace attacker Malcolm Ebiowei is reportedly set to leave the club on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been in and around the first team under Roy Hodgson this season but has not made a single first-team appearance in 2023-24, with Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Jordan Ayew above him in the pecking order.

Ebiowei's opportunities for game time may increase while Ayew is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, but according to Football Insider, a temporary exit from Selhurst Park could come to fruition.

The report states that all parties are happy for the England Under-20 international to depart for the second half of the season, and a multitude of EFL clubs have expressed an interest in signing him.

Ebiowei spent time in the Arsenal and Chelsea academy setups before making a name for himself at Derby County, which earned him a switch to Palace on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

The winger is without a goal or assist in five games for the Eagles and also failed to impress during a six-month loan spell with Hull City last term, making 12 appearances but failing to contribute directly to a goal.
