Sam Allardyce: 'I'll have no sympathy for Newcastle United'

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce says that he will not have any sympathy for Newcastle United if he helps to relegate his old club from the Premier League.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that he will not have any sympathy for former club Newcastle United if he helps to relegate them from the Premier League on Sunday.

Newcastle could be relegated if they lose to the Hammers at St James' Park and Hull City pull off a win over Manchester United on the final day of the campaign.

Allardyce says that he has discussed the possibility of relegating the Toon with former Newcastle players Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll.

"It's been talked about in the dressing room with me, Kevin and Andy," Allardyce told Sky Sports News.

"From our point of view it's about being professional, not about what we do because it's Newcastle and we were there.

"You can't show any sympathy for anybody, because nobody shows any sympathy for you."

Allardyce managed Newcastle for eight months between May 2007 and January 2008.
