Former Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has emerged as the bookmakers' favourite to be named the new Nottingham Forest boss.
The Championship outfit are on the hunt for a new boss following their decision to mutually part company with Alex McLeish after just five weeks in charge at the City Ground.
Adkins, who was sacked by the Saints three weeks ago, is 2/1 favourite to nab the position while Billy Davies, who managed Forest between 2008 and 2011, is also in contention, according to SkyBet.
McLeish revealed that he came to the decision to step down from his role following differences with the board on "development strategy".
