Team News: Marcus Maddison, Luke James to make League One debuts for Peterborough United

Marcus Maddison and Luke James will make their League One debuts for table-topping Peterborough United against Port Vale in today's clash at London Road.

New Peterborough United signings Marcus Maddison and Luke James will make their League One debuts for the Posh in this afternoon's clash against Port Vale at London Road.

Both players scored in United's midweek 3-2 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Leyton Orient.

The table-topping Posh have lost their last two home games, to Orient in midweek and against Sheffield United back in August.

Vale, out to end a run of three losses, are missing loanee Achille Campion who is out with a thigh strain, but Jordan Slew, who was also expected to be absent, is fit enough to make the bench.

Byron Moore, Michael Brown, and Chris Robertson have all been included in the starting XI, with Valiants manager Micky Adams ringing the changes following their poor run.

Peterborough United: Alnwick, Smith, Baldwin, Taylor, Payne, James, Washington, Anderson, Burgess, Santos, Maddison
Subs: Walker, Brisley, McCann, Vassell, Ferdinand, Barnett, Luto

Port Vale: Neal, Veseli, Robertson, McGivern, Dickinson, O'Connor, Brown, Jennings, Pope, Moore, Marshall
Subs: Johnson, Duffy, Birchall, Dodds, Williamson, Daniel, Slew
